While in Elgin, my vehicle tire light came on and we stopped here where the staff literally stopped what they were doing to help me. He was very attentive to details. Although they didn't have my tires in stock the filled my ties with as much air as possible to get me to another tire shop. At no charge at all!Now a days this is very rare! Great services. Is that tiny sticker on your windshield giving you a nudge? Avoid expensive auto repairs by getting oil change services every 5,000 to 7,500 miles and watching for blinking dashboard lights, smoking exhaust, burning smells, or a shaky ride. Your car will need one of two types of oil, as listed in your owner's manual:
- Full-Synthetic Oil: A premium, long-lasting engine oil
- Synthetic Blend Oil: A trendy, economical hybrid of conventional and synthetic oil, but it requires more frequent replacements
How to check your levels in 10 minutes or less
Go the extra mile by learning how to check your levels between oil change services.
- Find your owner's manual
- See if you should check your oil when the engine is hot or cool
- Grab an old rag
- Open your hood and find the dipstick (it has a bright handle)
- Pull out the dipstick and wipe the oil off
- Redip it into the engine, making sure you push all the way in
- Pull out the dipstick
- Get your reading—if the top of the streak is between the maximum and minimum marks, you’re good to go
